How it works...
Each week, 10 premiership fixtures are put up onto the site - you then have until the time of the first kick off to login and predict what you expect the scores to be. A reminder is automatically sent out 2 days before the first kick off to players who have yet to input their predictions.
Once the last game has been completed, the total points are calculated and the league positions updated.
Apart from the competition league tables and weekly results, something you won't find here is pages and pages of (what I consider to be meaningless!) stats... For one thing I don't have the time to knock out the code to display them, and secondly, I personally don't see the attraction in trawling through pages of stats and figures. If that's your 'thing' then Sorry! :(
The points are allocated as follows:
PLEASE NOTE... New Bonus Points Rule for 2006/07
- 1 Point for a correct result, with an incorrect score. (Home win or Away win)
- 2 Points for a correct result with one team's correct score.
- 2 Points for predicting a draw, but with the wrong score.
- 3 Points for an exact score.
- 0 Points for anything else.
- 2 Bonus Points are awarded if you correctly predict a team to score 3 or more goals AND the correct result.
No money is staked, but that doesn't stop you having your own 'side-bets' amongst friends/colleagues to spice up the competition!
